What do we do?
Since the projects establishment in 1996, Carmarthen Youth Project has developed from a coffee-bar, leisure and activity project into a much more holistic one providing a registered Information Point with a dedicated member of staff to provide support and workshops and run the condom distribution scheme, providing access to a qualified counsellor, a cyber café free of charge, a music technology project, arts and crafts, outdoor pursuits, activity holiday and young persons-led activities.

Information Point – Canllaw-Online Information Point is a Welsh Assembly Government initiative to provide information for young people. We provide an Information Point where friendly and trained staff can assist young people to access information from books, leaflets and the internet about services, activities and opportunities in the area on issues that can effect young people.
Condom Distribution Scheme – came about through the partnership with Carmarthen NHS Trust Sexual Health Partnership to provide Sexual Health Information and free condom provisions for young people. This provides a drop-in service to all young people, especially those who fail to access school sex education and sexual health clinics.
